Lunch with a Famous Person

If I had lunch with any famous person, it would be Hayley Williams from Paramore. We would talk about her fashion and her tips for me. She is a really sweet and fun person that totally can rock out her world. I would ask her what her inspirations are when she and her band makes music. I would ask her if I could sing a song with her. That would be lovely. She has such talent with her voice. I would ask her if she's thinking about experienceing new genres like R&B, I don't think hip-hop tho, since she featured on one of B.O.B's song, "Airplanes". ROCK OUT HAYLEY!

Brothers and Sisters

Well, I am an only child. Do I want a sibling? I am not sure. Sometimes it gets lonely and I get too much attention, but now that I am older, I realize that a sibling is not really what I want. I am involved in so many things that I need some quiet time for myself or else my health would fail or I would just go completely nuts. Siblings are good company, but being my own company is just delightful enough. I wouldn't have to fight for the bathroom if I need to.

If I Can Have Any Animal for a Pet

If I could have any animal for a pet, I would want a platypus. I would say fish, but the last time I had a pet fish when I was younger, it died. I couldn't bear it, especially goldfish. It is like they wanted to die or something since they cannot seem to live that long. A platypus is a beaver-like animal with a duck bill that is in fact endangered. They are such adorable creatures. If I had a platypus, I would treat it like it is my child. I would feed it every day, provide it with warm shelter, and take it out to a pond in my backyard for it to swim in. I would clear my schedule just to spent time with it. If only I could.

My Journey on a Pirate Ship

Once on a stormy day, the C.C. Joust rocked back and forth on the windy waves. The C.C. Joust flew up and crash down into the water making the salty sea rise up and body slam the wooden planks. Drast that salty and gloomy day! My haerty crew struggling for heat and warmth covered in thousnds of blankets and warming their noses with their icy breath. On the other hand, my top crew and I are resting in our own bads with the warm fire and sweet smell of pine. Lemming, the pirate bird, eats his crackers and green grapes, perches in his cage singing the "Ol' Pirate Song", "Aye, Arg!" Alice, the cat, purs peacefully in her thermal basket. KimKill, the 2nd head pirate, snores happily in her love-seat couch. I am the head pirate. I had obtained the skill of flame and knife throwing and conducting such witchery.

My Deepest Fear

My deepest fear
What is deep?
What is fear?
What are my questions?
What are my answers?
What am I hiding?
What is my deepest fear?

What is deep?
Deep inside I am lonely.
Deep inside I am lost.
Deep in my heart I don't know where to go,
      Or who to turn.
More like where to turn.
Deep on the outside I know, memorize, inhale my present and future plans, but
Deep in my eyes I am very unsure.

What is fear?
I fear that I might not make it.
I fear that my health might fail.
I fear of failing my devised plan.
I fear that people will no longer understand me.

What are my questions?
When I apply for college, will all of my schools reject me?
When senior year comes to an end, will my grades slip up?
Am I going to lose the cousin I used to love hanging around?
Will my cousin ever get through her mental condition?
Will I ever fulfill my life-long career choice?

What are my answers?
There isn't any yet.
But I pray that some will come through to me.

What am I hiding?
Nothing now since I am saying all of this.

What is my deepest fear?
My fear to fail and lose everything I worked hard for.

My Own Restaurant

If I were to own a restaurant, I would call it J'Adore de Francoise. My restaurant would be one of the finest fancy restaurant in the state of California. J'Adore de Francoise is in the city of Los Angeles in between Macy's and Nordstrums. The sign is in fancy letters that shines automatically in the moonlight. Coming in to this beautiful restaurant, there is a waiting room filled with appetizers (steamy croissants and fresh evergreen salad and dewdrop fruits that sparkle), 4 lounging benches, 6 tables with 5 chairs each, and a bar. Once your table is ready, a waiter escorts you through a white door. You would see a dance arena with live performances, more than 50 tables to eat, and a live kitchen performance to view the preparation of your lovely dish. You have a choice of steak, kangaroo, chicken, steamed fish, steamed vegetables, and an option of sushi. A taste you cannot imagine hired by the most professional chefs who came out the best culinary art schools. You would have nothing but zesty food, cooling deserts, refreshing beverages, and fun entertainment.

A Dinosaur in My Backyard

When I woke up, I heard and felt a rumble and a shake. I thought it was another California earthquake. So I dived under my desk looking all around, but I realized that the earthquake has a strange rhythm. I wondered, "Is someone dancing?" I slowly walked outside with my colorful pajama pants, a black tank top, and fuzzy bron slippers to my backyard and i couldn't believe my eyes! I thought I was dreaming but I could have sworn....THERE IS A DINOSAUR DANCING IN MY BACKYARD! The dinosaur saw me and suddenly stopped dancing.

I asked the dinosaur,"Why did you stop?"

The dinosaur looked frightened and embarrased.

I told the dinosaur, "What's your name?" He showed me his name tag. His name was Dex. I walked up to him and gave him a big hug. Dex cracked a smile.

"Wait here," I told Dex. I ran to the wooden shed behind him and opened the door. I looked through a bunch of stuff and found a boombox on the bottom shelf. I grabbed it and went back outside. I turned on the radio.

"Dance to this," I told Dex. And he danced and danced the craziest grooves. Dex could even do the moonwalk and crump.

"What the...?" I gazed in amazement. At that point, I thought I was still dreaming.

And I thought...

Tune in next week for more of the story of A Dinosaur in My Backyard.

One Time When I Was Brave

One time when I was brave,
I travelled to the park with my Humanities class.
We walked on a trail, a foresty trail,
filled with nothing but trees, rocks, dirt and greenery bits.

On the day when I was brave,
I was following a classmate 2 feet away from me.
Our teacher told us to leave a huge gap from the person in front of us, but
Little does she know that "some people" will get easily lost that way.
P.S. I was that "some people".

At the time when I was brave,
I travelled alone on the yellow brick road.
Well...the road wasn't really yellow but out of all the paths I've taken, one was brighter than the other.
I followed and searched,
up and down,
inclining and decling,
until I reached the top of the hill.
The hill was filled with fresh light green hairs,
as if I am approaching the "Promise Land".

Step by step I climbed that hill,
and a light shined through my brown irises.
After a quick blink, I saw a group of people.
I smiled and thought excitedly,
"I found them, I found them!"

That time...I was brave.

Imagine I had a Hundred Dollars

What if I had a hundred dollars? Would I go shoe shopping? Buy a house? Make an investment and get even more hundreds of dollars? Millions EVEN?!
Well...money for me (at least for now) is not my biggest priority, or even a priority to begin with. All I do is save...and save...AND SAVE!...until I get a lot of money to not have to ask or beg my mother for an allowance. That is why I got VISA debit card this summer for my vacation excursion.
But if I had a hundred dollars, I would make an investment on stocks (assuming I have the skill to know the statistic of each successful stock market). It is not what you think. I am using those stocks to donate to good causes, my cause especially. The cause I practically grew up with. I would support the Sickle Cell Foundation and other Sickle Cell organizations in any way with those stocks to find a cure for this disease. In addition, I can use those stocks to help fund any events or fundraisers directing towards this specific condition, such as the Torch Run for Life for children with blood disorders. If I had a hundred dollars, these children and adults of this disease can be cured, and yet save my life.

Do You Remember...?

Do you remember that time?
The time you were born
The time you cried for the light,
to see who was your mother,
        who was your father.
You remember what happened that day.
You had SCBT, a form of SCA.
All you knew was that you were born "sick" and you might die with "anemia."

Do you remember that time?
The time, the first time...
You started out trying a tricycle,
and then graduated to a bicycle.
You thought a bicycle was easy to ride,
but it took you 7 years to actually...
reach the top of the cliff and,
                then swirve down,
                swirling out of control,
sliding on the left side of your body and,
get bruises that looked like a birthmark.
But yet, you finally learned how to ride that bike.

Do you remember?
        Yes, I remember.
I remember those days and it was
                time well spent.
I remembered before and I remembered then.
I was yesterday and now today.

But eventually my hair will turn gray.

The First Thing I Want in the Morning...

...is an iced cold drink, preferably a strawberry or "any kind of berry" smoothie. I am always thirsty in the morning and I don't know why. Is it my cold bedroom? The dry air? Dust particles? Or what? Even a cup of water does not quench my thirst. I know I always mention smoothies in any of my conversations but it is a kind of special drink that needs special recognition. What is the "perfect" smoothie? The "perfect" smoothie has to have these unique qualities. First, the smoothie has to have the "perfect" temperature. Yes, a smoothie is a cold drink, but it cannot be lukewarm or frostbite cold. The "perfect" smoothie should not only cool the mind but the rest of my body. Secondly, the "perfect" smoothie needs to have the right texture. A smoothie is not a snow cone nor a slushy. The "perfect" smoothie has a crisp texture that will melt once it hits the tip of my tongue. Thirdly, the "perfect" smoothie has to have the taste of "perfection". It does not matter the combination of fruits you put in it, but the "perfect" smoothie has to be not so tart but not too watery where I would barely taste the flavour. My mouth already contains water, so why do I need MORE WATER?! Lastly, the "perfect" smoothie has to have the right flow to it. When I take a sip of that smoothie, I need those flavours to swirl up the straw like a gentle roller-coaster ride and not a straight shooter. That is as if I am trying to cheat my way of drinking the most deserving delicacy.

When I Wake Up...

I will have an entire slice of pizza stuck in my mouth. Pepperoni to be exact. It is not from Dominoes nor Pizza Hut. I do not know for sure but I know its gourmet, since I have a personal chef waiting on the left side of me to give me my hearty breakfast. For breakfast I am having scrambled eggs, turkey and ham bacon slices drizzled with Light Italian Dressing, a cinnamon muffin, and to top it off, a new Caramel Coffee Smoothie from Jamba Juice.

FYI I own Jamba Juice.

When I stand up, I will push the red button protected by a case behind my bedroom door. A huge projected screen will appear in front of me. The screen shows my whole wardrobe closet with many shoe options, shirts, skirts, pants, shorts, capris, hats, scarfs, earrings, necklaces, underwear, belts...you name it! And they are all categorized by style, texture, color, California season, and so much more. I pick a cute outfit and...bing! In five seconds, I have my outfit on. Then I push a blue button next to the red button. A white chair pulls out behind me. Next thing I know, I ended in a place of true beauty. The mountains and the ground was covered in such rich forest greenery. I smell pine trees and oak trees and even the smell of fresh spring water. I had a great view of the waterfall and the clear blue Pacific Ocean that sparkled day and night. I could smell the fresh flowers and occasionally see hummingbirds buzzing around and about. It was like I was in heaven...in a sanctuary...at home. I never felt so much more peaceful. Even the cool breeze gives me such warmth. I can do nothing but stare at its beauty, its curves, its rise and falls, its standstill. My mind paints a picture of everything I see and makeup and appears right in front of me in my hands. I lie down on the freshwater grass and sink into the ground. Then I close my eyes.

Now I am asleep.

In This Dream I Was...

I was standing in the middle of nowhere. Yes, it was a sunny day in the hot desert, even though I felt cold. There was a hotel building standing in front of me. I was with a group of random teenagers that were "normal-looking" and I try to look around and see if i knew anyone but I didn't. We all walked inside this fancy and luxurious building but it didn't seem like it was on the outside. It was dark and creepy as if I was in a mystery movie. The inside had many antiques and old creepy priceless stuff, and in front of me was an abandoned entrance to some type of circus or haunted house or even a house of mirrors. I look around and suddenly I was all alone. I didn't know what to do but just stand there hearing strange air mist noises and a few screams here and there. I thought, "What the hell I am doing here?" So I turned back but there was no hotel entrance. I turned back to the front and I ended up in a cave. Even though I saw nothing but darkness, I could hear shrieks from the back and could feel the cold chill. I was a little scared but it felt like an exciting adventure. I saw creepy-looking ghosts from the past that made me gasp for too much air because of the lack of oxygen. I thought I was going to choke, but I didn't for some reason. Then, I ran into a leafy maze. Boy was it confusing! All I did was run around in circles. By the time I got to the end, a burst of light struck like a lightening bolt into my eyes and guess what? I was back in the desert with hotel building standing in front of me.
